In Your Application For Tenancy and Lease Terms:
Purpose: These clauses help notify applicants and seek their consent. They discourage those with negative rental history or intentions to be delinquent from applying while showing good tenants the benefit of improving their credit rating.
Information for Screening Applicants:
The person applying for tenancy (the applicant) consents to the landlord or their agent obtaining and viewing credit, financial, and personal/business information, and tenant history from past and present landlords and CTOS. This is for assessing the applicant’s eligibility for tenancy. This consent is valid from the application date for as long as needed for these purposes.
Disclosure to Credit Reporting Agencies:
If granted tenancy, the tenant consents to the landlord and/or Rojak Property (the landlord’s authorized agent) disclosing personal information about the tenant and their tenancy (e.g., rent payments, utilities payments, behavior, debts) to CTOS. This information may be used in tenant records, credit reports, and credit scores and shared with other landlords and credit grantors.
