Yes, a digitally signed tenancy agreement is legal with its duty stamped copy is admissible in court under Section 7 of the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 and Section 62(2) of the Digital Signature Act 1997 in Malaysia.

Both tenants and owners are required to submit their own IC (Identity Card) or Passport for verification purposes to ensure security, trust, and legal compliance in the rental process.

Yes! Rojak Property ensures data security:

🔒 Encrypted & Secure – All IC/Passport data is securely encrypted and stored in third-party service providers as where is a licensed Certificate Authorities (CA) as listed by the Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission (MCMC) under the Digital Signature Act 1997 to issue and manage digital certificates / identity based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for the Malaysia market and never been shared.

🛡 PDPA Compliance – Rojak Property follow Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

✅ Used Only for Verification – Your IC/Passport is used only for digital signing and not for any other purpose.

Both owners and tenants can sign their tenancy agreements on the Rojak Property website. The agent will generate a lawyer-prepared tenancy agreement, create accounts for both parties, and provide them with an ID and password for signing.

Yes! Even if signed digitally, the agreement must be stamped by the LHDN (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) for it to be legally valid in case of disputes.

A tenancy period for Rojak Property users starts from a minimum of 12 months and can be extended to a maximum up to 36 months.
